300k - Saturday 04/28/2007, Boston, MAThis brevet from the Boston Brevet Series goes to Voluntown, CT and back passing through 3 states: Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island. We biked on parts of the Connecticut Wine Trail, through a quaint rural town called Pomfret, home of the Pomfret Academy prep school. Phil and Christine had an accident in Framingham when Christine's front wheel got stuck in railroad tracks, she was thrown from her bike and Phil right behind her ended up on top of the pile with his bike. Amazingly, they weren't seriously injured and were able to continue riding. Christine suffered another accident later on, falling again this time hitting her head. She was able to pull herself together with just a few scratches and successfully complete the ride. No pictures… |
